Our Pet Hedgehogs

Cute, Prickly and Small are just a few things they are...

We got our first prickly, African Pygmy Hedgehog (APH) in October 2009 and we called him Ruffles. He is a Chocolate Pinto Hedgehog and has a very distinctive character.

We got our second Hedgehog, called Cocoa only a week after we got Ruffles. She is a Chocolate Pinto also, but since we have got her we have discovered she is quite rare and she is actually an Algerian Pygmy Hedgehog.

Our third APH arrived at the start of November and we named her Snowy as she is Snowflake in colour. She is extreemly active and thoroughly enjoys her wheel and generally being a little mischevious.

Wait, there's more. Our latest addition to our herd is Lola. She is a Chocolate Chip Pinto and is the first of our females to have hoglets.
